8 August 1942 ko Mahatma Gandhi ne “Do Or Die” ka naara diya aur Indian National Congress ne British ko seedhi chunauti di. Is movement ke baad desh bhar me protest, hartal aur jail bharo andolan shuru ho gaya.
British sarkar ne kai leaders ko giraftar kiya, lekin azaadi ki aag aur tez ho gayi. Yeh andolan 1947 ki independence ka major turning point sabit hua.
