Verghese Kurien (26 November 1921 – 9 September 2012) was an Indian dairy engineer and social entrepreneur. He led initiatives that contributed to the extensive increase in milk production in India termed as the White Revolution.

நீலகண்ட பிரம்மச்சாரி (Neekakanda Brahmachary) (திசம்பர் 4,1889 - மார்ச்சு 4 1978) 1911-ஆம் ஆண்டில் மணியாச்சி ரயில் நிலையத்தில் வாஞ்சிநாதனால் சுட்டுக் கொல்லப்பட்ட மாவட்ட ஆட்சியர் ஆசு கொலை வழக்கில் முதல் குற்றவாளியாகச் சேர்க்கப்பட்டவர்.[1].
இந்திய விடுதலை இயக்கப் போராட்டத்தில் இளம் வயதில், 20,000 போராளிகளை ஒன்று திரட்டிப் புரட்சி இயக்கம் ஒன்றை தோற்றுவித்துப் போராடியவர். வாழ்வின் பெரும்பகுதியை இந்தியா, பாக்கித்தான், மியான்மர் நாட்டுச் சிறைகளில் கழித்தவர்.
வாழ்வின் பிற்பகுதியில் விரக்தியுற்று சந்நியாசம் பெற்று மைசூர் அரசில் நந்தி மலையடிவாரத்தில் ஆசிரமம் அமைத்துக் கொண்டு சிரீ ஓங்காரானந்த சுவாமி என்ற பெயரில், தனது 88-ஆவது வயதில் 4 மார்ச்சு 1978-இல் காலமானவர்.
