ताजिकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति इमोमाली रहमोन ने कहा है
कि कुरान का अनुवाद देश की स्थानीय भाषा में इसलिए कराया गया, ताकि लोग इसे पढ़ें, समझें और सही मार्ग अपनाएं. उन्होंने साफ किया कि धर्म का मकसद लोगों को ज्ञान देना है, न कि उन्हें अंधभक्ति या हिंसा की ओर धकेलना. राष्ट्रपति रहमोन ने कहा कि कुछ लोग धार्मिक ग्रंथों की गलत व्याख्या कर युवाओं को भटका रहे हैं, जिससे आत्मघाती सोच और हिंसक विचार जन्म ले रहा.
