एक छोटे से गाँव में बरगांव नाम का गांव था। वहाँ एक महिला रहती थी, जिसका नाम गंगा था। गंगा पूरे गांव में अपने स्वादिष्ट खाने के लिए मशहूर थी। लोग कहते थे कि उसके हाथों में जादू है।
उसी गांव में एक किसान था, रामू। वह बहुत मेहनती था, लेकिन पिछले कुछ समय से उसकी फसलें बार-बार खराब हो रही थीं। रामू को शक हुआ कि उसके खेत में कुछ अजीब हो रहा है।
एक रात रामू ने तय किया कि वह खेत में पहरा देगा। आधी रात के बाद, उसने देखा कि खेत के बीचों-बीच एक डरावनी छाया घूम रही है। वह एक भूत था! भूत फसल को नष्ट कर रहा था।
डर के बावजूद रामू ने हिम्मत जुटाई और भूत से भिड़ गया। तभी अचानक गंगा वहाँ पहुँच गई। उसने बताया कि यह भूत कोई और नहीं, बल्कि पुराने समय का एक लालची किसान था, जो अपनी जमीन के लिए मरा था और अब आत्मा बनकर दूसरों की फसलें बर्बाद करता है।
गंगा ने अपने साथ लाई पवित्र जड़ी-बूटियों और मंत्रों से भूत को रोकने की कोशिश की। भूत गुस्से में आकर और भी शक्तिशाली हो गया। फिर रामू और गंगा ने मिलकर योजना बनाई।
गंगा ने भूत को अपने बनाए हुए खाने की खुशबू से अपनी ओर आकर्षित किया। जैसे ही भूत पास आया, रामू ने साहस दिखाते हुए खेत के बीच में पवित्र जल छिड़क दिया। गंगा ने मंत्र पढ़े, और दोनों की एकजुट ताकत से भूत कमजोर पड़ने लगा।
आखिरकार, भूत जोर से चीखा और धीरे-धीरे गायब हो गया। गांव में फिर से शांति लौट आई और रामू की फसलें फिर से हरी-भरी होने लगीं।
उस दिन के बाद, गांव वाले समझ गए कि एकता और साहस से किसी भी डर को हराया जा सकता है।
कहानी की सीख:
डर चाहे कितना भी बड़ा क्यों न हो, मिलकर उसका सामना किया जाए तो जीत जरूर मिलती है।
