How patato chips are made in factory 🏭
Potato chips start with whole potatoes that are washed to remove dirt. The potatoes go through a machine that peels them, then they're sliced very thin, usually just a couple of millimeters thick. The slices are rinsed to remove excess starch so they stay crisp instead of sticking together. After rinsing, they're dried slightly and dropped into hot oil where they fry until they become golden and crunchy. Once they're cooked, the chips are removed from the oil and the excess oil drains off. While still warm, they're seasoned with salt or other flavors. Then they're cooled, checked for quality, and packaged into bags with a small amount of air to keep them from breaking and to stay fresh.
