मोदीनगर क्षेत्र में उस वक्त हड़कंप मच गया जब ईंख के एक खेत में लावारिस हालत में एक तिजोरी पड़ी मिली। खेत में काम कर रहे किसानों की नजर तिजोरी पर पड़ी तो उन्होंने तुरंत पुलिस को सूचना दी। मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस ने तिजोरी को कब्जे में लेकर जांच शुरू कर दी है।
बताया जा रहा है कि तिजोरी बंद अवस्था में थी। आशंका जताई जा रही है कि किसी चोरी की वारदात के बाद बदमाश इसे यहां फेंक गए हों। पुलिस आसपास के थानों में दर्ज हालिया चोरी की घटनाओं से भी मिलान कर रही है।
फिलहाल पुलिस पूरे मामले की जांच में जुटी है और तिजोरी को खोलकर उसमें मौजूद सामान की पड़ताल की जाएगी।
