राजस्थान के गौरव का प्रतीक, चित्तौड़गढ़ किला भारत का सबसे विशाल और ऐतिहासिक किलों में से एक है। यह किला वीरता, बलिदान और राजपूताना शौर्य की अद्भुत कहानियों से भरा हुआ है।

स्थापना और प्रारंभिक इतिहास
माना जाता है कि इस किले का निर्माण 7वीं शताब्दी में हुआ था।
इसे मौर्य शासक चित्रांगद मौर्य ने बसाया था, जिनके नाम पर “चित्तौड़” पड़ा।
बाद में यह किला मेवाड़ राजवंश की राजधानी बना।
⚔️ प्रमुख शासक और गौरव
इस किले का सबसे प्रसिद्ध संबंध है महाराणा प्रताप और उनके पूर्वजों से।
मेवाड़ के राजपूतों ने यहाँ से कई युद्ध लड़े और अपने स्वाभिमान की रक्षा की।
किले में स्थित विजय स्तंभ (Victory Tower) को राणा कुम्भा ने 1448 में मालवा के सुल्तान पर विजय के बाद बनवाया।
🔥 तीन प्रमुख जौहर (बलिदान की गाथाएँ)
चित्तौड़गढ़ किले ने इतिहास के तीन बड़े आक्रमण देखे:
1303 ई. – दिल्ली के सुल्तान अलाउद्दीन खिलजी का आक्रमण
इस समय रानी पद्मिनी की कथा प्रसिद्ध है
हजारों महिलाओं ने जौहर किया
1535 ई. – गुजरात के सुल्तान बहादुर शाह का हमला
फिर से जौहर और भीषण युद्ध हुआ
1567 ई. – मुगल सम्राट अकबर का आक्रमण
इसके बाद मेवाड़ की राजधानी उदयपुर स्थानांतरित कर दी गई
🏯 वास्तुकला और विशेषताएँ
यह किला लगभग 700 एकड़ क्षेत्र में फैला है
समुद्र तल से लगभग 180 मीटर ऊँची पहाड़ी पर स्थित है
इसमें कई महल, मंदिर और जलाशय हैं

🌍 विश्व धरोहर
यूनेस्को ने इसे 2013 में World Heritage Site घोषित किया
