This rare father–son meeting symbolizes harmony, forgiveness, and balance in relationships.
Makar Sankranti also marks the end of winter, the beginning of Uttarayan, and the arrival of a new harvest season. Devotees take holy river baths, donate food and clothes, fly colorful kites, and prepare traditional sweets to celebrate prosperity and new beginnings.
