गीतकार और लेखक मनोज मुंतशिर कई बार इसका खुलकर विरोध कर चुके हैं. उनका कहना है कि बेटी, बहनों या माताओं के लिए इस शब्द का इस्तेमाल नहीं होना चाहिए. ।
