अंबाजी गुजरात के बनासकांठा जिले में स्थित है। यहां पर माता सती का ह्रदय गिरा था इस वजह से प्रमुख शक्तिपीठ में इसकी गिनती होती है। अहमदाबाद से अंबाजी की दूरी 172 किलोमीटर है। सड़क मार्ग से सीधे अंबाजी पहुंचा जा सकता हैं। और रेल मार्ग के लिए नजदीक का रेलवे स्टेशन पालनपुर और आबूरोड है। वायु मार्ग से आने के लिए नजदीक का हवाई अड्डा अहमदाबाद है। अंबाजी में मुख्यतः दो मंदिर है एक मंदिर पहाड़ के ऊपर है जो कि प्राचीन अंबाजी का मंदिर है जिसे गब्बर कहते हैं। और एक मुख्य मंदिर अंबाजी शहर में है जो कि बड़ा विशाल है। इस मंदिर में माता की कोई मूर्ति नहीं है यहां पर श्री यंत्र की पूजा की जाती है। श्री यंत्र को इतने बेहतर तरीके से सजाया जाता है उसका सिंगार किया जाता है मानो लगता है माता स्वयं विराजमान है। अगर आप अंबाजी आते हैं तो मुख्य मंदिर के साथ-साथ गब्बर मंदिर का भी दर्शन जरूर करें। गब्बर पर जाने के लिए उड़न खटोले की सुविधा उपलब्ध है। पैदल जाने के लिए नीचे से ऊपर तक लगभग 1000 सीढ़ी है। इन दो मुख्य मंदिर के अलावा कोटेश्वर भी अंबाजी का प्राचीन मंदिर है जो कि महादेव का मंदिर है और उसके पास में वाल्मीकि आश्रम और कामाक्षी मंदिर स्थित है। घूमने के लिए मांगल्य वन भी काफी सुंदर जगह है। काफी अच्छा उद्यान बनाया हुआ है यह अंबाजी मंदिर से 1 km की दूरी पर है। इसे सनसेट पॉइंट भी कहा जाता है ओर यहां से सूर्यास्त का नजारा काफी बेहतरीन होता है।
