⁣The first airplane crash in history happened in 1908 at Fort Myer, Virginia, USA. During a demonstration flight by the Wright Brothers, the aircraft’s propeller broke, causing the plane to crash.
Orville Wright survived with injuries, but U.S. Army officer Thomas Selfridge tragically lost his life, becoming the first person to die in an airplane crash.
