चतुर बंदर और चश्मिश हाथी
एक बार की बात है, गज्जू हाथी को अपनी आँखों से थोड़ा कम दिखाई देने लगा। उसने शहर जाकर एक बड़ा सा चश्मा बनवाया। चश्मा पहनकर गज्जू बड़ा टशन में जंगल में घूमने लगा।
तभी पेड़ पर बैठे बंदर 'चीकू' को एक शरारत सूझी। जब गज्जू हाथी दोपहर में सो रहा था, चीकू ने चुपके से हाथी का चश्मा उतारा और उसके ग्लास पर काला रंग लगा दिया।
जब गज्जू जागा, उसने चश्मा पहना। उसे सब कुछ काला-काला दिखने लगा! गज्जू घबराकर चिल्लाया, "भागो! भागो! जंगल में काली रात हो गई है! सूरज गायब हो गया है!"
सारे जानवर डर गए और इधर-उधर भागने लगे। चीकू बंदर नीचे आया और बड़े गंभीर चेहरे के साथ बोला, "गज्जू भाई, यह काली रात नहीं है, यह तो 'काला जादू' है! अगर आप मुझे दो केले खिलाओगे, तो मैं अपनी शक्ति से सूरज वापस ला सकता हूँ।"
गज्जू ने तुरंत उसे दो दर्जन केले दे दिए। चीकू ने केले खाए और गज्जू का चश्मा उतारकर उसे साफ़ करने का नाटक किया (और चुपके से रंग पोंछ दिया)।
जैसे ही गज्जू ने चश्मा दोबारा पहना, उसे चमचमाती धूप दिखाई दी! गज्जू खुश होकर नाचने लगा, "चीकू तुम तो जादुई बंदर हो!"
चीकू बंदर मुस्कुराया और मन ही मन सोचा— "जादू नहीं गज्जू भाई, इसे कहते हैं स्मार्ट वर्क!"
